Mac OS X 10.5: SSHKeychain, LabTick

When working on my laptop I have a few programs always running.
For example, I use SSHKeychain to manage my private keys so I can logon to various servers without having to bother about typing in a password or LabTick so I can control my keyboard illumination instead of the ambient light sensors which don’t always work that well.

Unfortunately, SSHKeychain installer is broken for Leopard so I got the source from SVN and recompiled it. I already contacted a developer concerning this.

LabTick has another fault (besides not begin developed anymore, as far as I can gather) which is that the StatusBar image included doesn’t have a transparent background which gives for quite an odd effect.

There are people saying that Leopard has a built in SSH key agent. I haven’t been able to verify this, but having SSH Keychain installed when Leopard was installed might cause the built in function not to work.

yes, Leopard does indeed include integration with SSH key agent as I discovered later on and it works like a charm too

Thank you so much for that transparent Labtick icon – it’s made it usable in Leopard again! Cheers.
