When working on my laptop I have a few programs always running. For example, I use SSHKeychain to manage my private keys so I can logon to various servers without having to bother about typing in a password or LabTick so I can control my keyboard illumination instead of the ambient light sensors which don’t always work that well.
Unfortunately, SSHKeychain installer is broken for Leopard so I got the source from SVN and recompiled it. I already contacted a developer concerning this.
- Download SSHKeychain 0.8.2 Leopard compatible
- Just drop SSHKeychain.app in you Applications folder and you’re done
LabTick has another fault (besides not begin developed anymore, as far as I can gather) which is that the StatusBar image included doesn’t have a transparent background which gives for quite an odd effect.
- Download LabTick 0.6.3 transparent image
- Paste it over the existing one in Applications/Lab Tick.app/Content/Resources

nice job, way to be on top of things.
There are people saying that Leopard has a built in SSH key agent. I haven’t been able to verify this, but having SSH Keychain installed when Leopard was installed might cause the built in function not to work.
Mark:
yes, Leopard does indeed include integration with SSH key agent as I discovered later on and it works like a charm too
Thank you so much for that transparent Labtick icon – it’s made it usable in Leopard again! Cheers.
