MacExpo 2008 (update)

So here we go:

My predictions:

  • iTunes movie rentals
  • Leopard 10.5.2 (some new features such as Aiport backups, SSE4 support
  • AppleTV update
  • MacBook Air or whatever it will be called, the long rumoured sub-notebook
  • something else with Air, Airport Express/Extreme update or iPhone upgrade
  • hoping: new Apple Cinema Displays (they really need a refresh)

The keynote is over, we now have Time Capsule (Airport Extreme + 500GB or 1TB for backups), updated apps on the iPhone and a 20$ upgrade for the iPod TOuch to get Mail, Weather, Notes, Stocks and Maps (what a rip-off, jailbreak ftw), iTunes Movie rentals and the MacBook Air which is from my point of view a bit too expensive.

Though I’m intrigued by the MacBook Air, it still needs some work and a bit of a price drop before I’ll even consider it.
What I am very disappointed about is the 20$ we have to pay to upgrade our iTouch’es, that’s a total rip-off if you ask me.
I still hope for an ACD refresh and Leopard 10.5.2 sometime soon, though I’m starting to become seriously skeptical about them, especially the ACD’s are overdue.
